Brazil power grid operator asks electricity generators to postpone works until rainy seasons
Brazil's national power grid operator (ONS) has put out a request, few days ago, to electricity generators to postpone any technical and maintenance work until at least the beginning of the rainy season to prevent energy crisis.
ONS director general Luiz Carlos Ciocchi told Reuters that "the situation is worrying, but under control, and insisted there is no risk of energy rationing."
"This kind of request and negotiation (with power generators) is quite common. It is to be expected," he told Reuters on Saturday.
