Nissan, Envision to spend around $450 mln in new battery plant
Nissan, announced plans to build a battery factory, alongside its partner Envision AESC in Japan's Ibaraki prefecture north of Tokyo for50 billion yen (US $460 million).
According to the company, Envision could invest over 100 billion yen in the plant, which is expected to start mass production in 2024.
The plant is expected to have an annual production capacity of six gigawatt-hours.
