Kuwait's KGOC, Saudi Chevron will export surplus gas from Wafra area
Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) said on Monday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia’s Chevron to export the surplus gas from the joint Wafra operations, reported state news agency KUNA.
Muhammad Salem Al-Haimer the acting CEO of KGOC said in a statement that the company started on Monday to export around 12 million cubic feet of the extra gas.
The company is expected to export in the coming months between 40-50 million cubic feet of gas, the news agency said.
Wafra Joint Operations is jointly between KGOC 50 and Saudi Arabian Chevron 50. The companies have resumed operations in late December 2020.
