Aramco plans to open the Jafurah field for foreign investors: Bloomberg
Saudi’s oil giant Aramco is planning to open up the Jafurah gas field, one of the world’s largest unconventional gas fields, to foreign investors, as it looks to fund a $110 billion project, financial news agency Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
According to the report, Aramco is working with an adviser to explore raising new equity or debt for its vast Jafurah site. It began preliminary talks with potential investors.
Given that these talks are in the early stages, Aramco could decide to gather money to fund the Jafurah development through other means, the report citing anonymous sources said.
