Saudi Arabia, Russia biggest oil suppliers to China
Saudi Arabia is the biggest supplier of crude oil to China, with an increase in volumes by 19.5 percent from a year ago, the General Administration of Customs in China showed in its latest data.
This is the 11th month in which Saudi Arabia holds this position as China’s biggest crude oil supplier.
According to the customs entity, Saudi Arabia exported to China a total of 7.1 million tonnes, or 1.67 million barrels per day (bpd). Last year, the country exported only 1.4 million bpd a year.
The official statistics shows Russia as the next in line with 1.3 percent higher year on year. Followed by Iraq, Oman, Angola and the UAE. The official records do not show importation from both Venezuela and Iran.
Supplies from both Brazil and the United States of America have gone down by 53.2 percent and 91.8 percent respectively.
China has put a cap on independent refiners imports. The latest statistics show the lowest importation of crude oil in three years.
