New alliance bolsters Middle East presence for FutureOn
FutureOn, the global software company specialising in the energy sector has appointed Dynamic Cloud as its representative in Saudi Arabia and Andreas Gaarder as Vice President of EMEA.
The new partnership with Dynamic Cloud, which has three offices in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, will see customers across the Middle East benefit from localised, first class support from an on-the-ground team, regional market expertise, and short lead times on the delivery of FutureOn’s suite of next generation digital tools. This move is expected to support the region’s drive to embrace digital transformation across its energy operations.
In 2016, Saudi Arabia revealed its Vision 2030 initiative, a forward-thinking strategic framework to reduce the country’s dependence on oil, diversify its economy and create a digital infrastructure to enhance the competitiveness of the economy.
The strategic partnership follows the appointment of Andreas Gaarder to the position of Vice President of EMEA. Previously responsible for overseeing FutureOn’s operations in the Eastern Hemisphere, Andreas will now lead the company’s growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and will be working closely with Dynamic Cloud to bring FutureOn’s digital solutions to operators across the Middle East, based out of Dubai.
Andreas brings a wealth of industry experience and understanding of the regional upstream software market to the role having held a number of senior positions with energy majors including Wood and Schlumberger, where over a seven-year period he held various roles within production engineering, business development and business management.
Commenting on the partnership, Andreas said: “We are very pleased to announce our latest partnership with Dynamic Cloud, a company with a great reputation, who is familiar with the local Saudi market and experienced in working with regional national oil companies.
“This latest partnership plays an important role in the continued expansion of FutureOn’s international reach, and will allow us to acquire a deep understanding of the local energy landscape and customer needs.
“Demand for FutureOn’s digital solutions continues to grow in the Middle East as the region’s energy industry focuses on making greater efficiencies. We are confident that through this collaborative partnership, and our transformational digital twin solutions, we are well placed to support Saudi Arabia’s commitment to digital transformation.”
Naif M. Al Shehri, Operations Manager at Dynamic Cloud, said: “We are delighted to welcome FutureOn to our partner ecosystem. We believe our partnership with FutureOn will offer a unique, true value add as well as deep insight into the current digital transformation path the industry is following.
“We truly believe our clients will benefit from this partnership, through our joint effort to offer a platform for state-of-the-art visualisation and collaboration with our regional support, extensive local market expertise and team of expert data scientists. FutureOn and Dynamic Cloud not only share a common purpose of supporting clients and their organisations achieve their digital goals, but also believe collaboration and effective team work is the key to enabling efficiencies in this new era for the energy industry.”
