World Bank’s roadmap to stop flaring and curb methane emissions

While noting that flaring has not declined at the pace many would like amid rising oil production, he highlights that countries and companies committed to the target are outperforming those without formal pledges. Bamji also underscores methane reduction as a critical, cost-effective opportunity, enabled by improved detection technologies and rapid on-site repairs, to pave the way for a lower-carbon future.
