In an exclusive interview at Energy Connects Studio during World Utilities Congress 2025, Mohammad Ayub, Partner at McKinsey & Company, discussed one of the most pressing challenges in the global energy transition: building interconnected power grids. He explained how interconnected grids can balance renewable generation across borders, improve reliability and reduce costs, while also helping nations hit ambitious decarbonisation targets. Mohammad highlighted the scale of demand on the horizon and the structural changes needed to meet it.
