The important role of Scope 3 emissions in a circular economy
In the continuation of our 'Scope 3 in Focus' series, Julian Walker sat down with Ole Andersen, Co-Founder of Renable and Morgan Eldred, Founder of Digital Energy, to discuss the different elements of Scope 3 emissions in the energy industry. In this episode, we discuss the growing importance of the concept of a circular economy and why this will be a crucial strategy to address the growing concerns of waste management and resource scarcity. Ole explained Renable's purpose, which is to track and trace all the materials deriving from decommissioning of ships and other facilities from the origin to the end user. Morgan touched on how the use of digital technologies for efficient scheduling and design/material matching can lead to transformations in supply chains.
