ADIPEC and the Endeavour scholarship empower the next generation of innovators
The Astronaut Al Worden “Endeavour” Scholarship is a nation-to-nation educational initiative designed to inspire young people to pursue careers in engineering, space science, and exploration.
Named in honor of Apollo 15 Astronaut Al Worden and his spacecraft Endeavour, the scholarship fully funds a week-long, immersive astronaut training experience at Space Camp, located at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
The program is administered by Kallman Worldwide as a not-for-profit organization, supported through proceeds from Kallman’s USA Partnership Pavilions at major aerospace and defense exhibitions globally, alongside contributions from sponsors, donors, and strategic partners.
For 2026, ADIPEC will proudly sponsor the Endeavour Scholarship in alignment with its flagship youth outreach initiative, Young ADIPEC. This collaboration strengthens ADIPEC’s mission to inspire, upskill, and empower the UAE’s youth to pursue rewarding careers in STEM and the future energy sector.
Space science and the energy industry share a strong connection: both rely on advanced engineering, scientific innovation, and cutting-edge technologies that push the boundaries of what is possible.
From the role of satellites and space-based data in enabling global energy systems, to the development of new materials, clean propulsion, and sustainable energy solutions originated through space research—space exploration continually fuels innovation that benefits the energy transition.
Supporting this scholarship reinforces ADIPEC’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of problem-solvers, innovators, and future leaders who will shape the world’s energy and technology landscape.
The Young ADIPEC Steering Committee will oversee the Astronaut Al Worden Endeavour Scholarship – UAE Class of 2026 selection process, including the competitions and participant shortlisting. Successful candidates will earn a place at Space Camp for the week-long astronaut training programme in Huntsville, Alabama.
In addition, Young ADIPEC Ambassadors will be given the opportunity to apply for the Endeavour Scholarship and the Discovery Flight Programme.
