Italy working on offsetting power prices
Italy's energy transition minister said on Thursday in a radio interview, that the government will introduce short-term measures to curb the rise in retail power prices; while working on a longer-term reform of power bills.
Roberto Cingolani told Rai Radio 1 that Spain and Italy are very different, so the policies are different.
Spain said it will redirect around US $3.07 billion (2.6 billion euros) from companies to consumers in the next six months, in an attempt to reduce high energy bills.
"It is not easy to translate strategies from one country to another," he said.
