Egypt to export gas to power Lebanon who is seeking finance from World Bank
Egypt's petroleum minister said that he hoped to export Egyptian gas soon to Jordan to be able to generate power that will supply Lebanon, reported Reuters.
The minister spoke after a meeting in Jordan which included his Lebanese, Syrian and Jordanian counterparts to discuss U.S.-backed plan to ease Lebanon's power crisis.
The plan includes using Egyptian gas to generate power in Jordan that would be transmitted via Syria.
The Lebanese government that it was working with the World Bank to secure financing for to import Egyptian gas via Jordan and Syria.
