Viridien launches world’s first onshore drop node solution for seismic data acquisition
Viridien has introduced Sercel Accel, the industry’s first onshore drop node solution, set to revolutionise the way land seismic data is acquired.
Sercel Accel is designed to tackle the challenges of high-density seismic operations. It enables faster deployment, greater operational efficiency and consistent delivery of high-quality data.
The Accel system eliminates the need for seismic nodes to be buried or planted in the field, dramatically reducing deployment time and labour. Its compact, droppable design and integrated smart portable deployment system help streamline logistics and lower operational costs by up to 30%. It also significantly improves health, safety and environmental (HSE) performance.
At the heart of Accel is the QuietSeis MEMS sensor, a trusted industry benchmark for seismic data integrity. It is paired with the Sercel Pathfinder QC technology, which offers near real-time quality control and reliable node retrieval.
Accel also introduces modular Accel Solution Packs, combining nodes, software and services to meet a range of project needs. Whether for initial exploration or large-scale mega-crew surveys, customers can tailor and scale these packs to match project duration, complexity and goals.
Jerome Denigot, Head of Sensing & Monitoring at Viridien, said: “With the launch of Accel, we have drawn on our expertise to take a bold leap forward - revolutionizing how data is captured, managed, and ultimately trusted by our customers for its total integrity and accuracy. Thanks to its seamless integration with our other acquisition systems, our Accel drop node solution enhances both crew productivity and safety. Scalable and supported by our flexible Accel Solution Packs, including software and services, it heralds the start of a new era in fast, high-resolution land seismic acquisition - accelerating projects of any size.”
