Raven SR Inc receives $20 million for waste-to-green
Renewable fuels company, Raven SR Inc., said that they have received US $20 million strategic investment to build modular waste-to-green hydrogen production units and renewable synthetic fuel facilities.
The company said that the funds were from Chevron U.S.A. Inc., ITOCHU Corporation, Hyzon Motors Inc. and Ascent Hydrogen Fund. They will build the facilities first in California and then worldwide.
Raven SR’s process is designed to reduce emissions and produce more green hydrogen per ton of waste than competing processes, said the company in a statement.
Raven SR’s said that they can produce other renewable energy products such as synthetic liquid fuels, additives and solvents and electricity via microturbines.
Moreover they said they can produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), which can help decarbonisation efforts to align with targets outlined in the 2016 Paris Agreement on climate change.
