Europe's largest energy storage project is operational
The Minety battery power plant in Wiltshire, Europe’s largest battery of a 100 MW/100 MWh battery storage facility in the UK, with 1500V energy storage system solution, is now connected to the grid,upon completion, Sungrow Power Supply said on Thursday.
Chinese inverter and storage system manufacturer Sungrow said that the project that began in 2019,after a serious blackout, has finally been completed. The plant is intended to maximize the use of renewable energies and provide services for the grid.
Sungrow supplied both NCM and LFP battery energy storage system solutions which will significantly reduce the system cost by 5 percent.
