Iran says oil is key in nuclear negotiations
Iranian foreign minister said on Monday that exporting its crude oil is key in the negotiations with the United States and its allies over the nuclear deal, as talks resume in Vienna.
"To get to the point where Iran's oil is sold easily and without any barriers and its money arrives in Iran’s bank accounts,” Iran's foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said today.
The remarks made by the foreign minister to reporters were ahead of the talks in Vienna. The U.S. has exited the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2018 before reimposing economic sanctions on Iran's economy and its oil sector which have made international companies pull out of their deals with the country.
The recent negotiations began in April previous, the last round ended on December 15th.
