Karpowership eyes role as the energy backbone for AI data centres
In an exclusive interview at Energy Connects Studio at Gastech 2025 in Milan, Erol Saban, Fuel Supply General Manager at Karpowership, revealed ambitious plans to position itself as a critical energy provider for the fast-growing artificial intelligence (AI) sector. Erol highlighted how the surge in AI-driven power demand is reshaping global energy strategies and opening new opportunities for the Turkish firm. He also shed light on Kinetics, the company’s newest initiative bringing together LNG assets, renewable energy projects and emerging technologies such as battery and desalination ships, carbon capture and floating data centres.
