EGYPS 2023: OME looks at how to decarbonise the energy sector in the Mediterranean region
Feb 27, 2023 by Energy ConnectsIn an exclusive studio interview from EGYPS 2023, Julian Walker spoke to Dr. Houda Ben Jannet, General Director of Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie (OME), about the company’s report it launched at COP27 looking at ways the Mediterranean region can decarbonise and why energy transition is a must for the Mediterranean region. We talked about different technologies that could be used to help decarbonise the region and why energy efficiency should be a top priority. Dr. Houda also touched on the need for more investments in new energies to help meet the decarbonisation target set out in the report.
