DNV feels the energy industry must decarbonise much faster

In an exclusive Energy Connects Discussion, Julian Walker spoke with Ditlev Engel, CEO of Energy Systems at DNV, about the findings from DNV’s 2023 edition of its Energy Industry Insights report. One thing that comes out clearly is that energy security is now a top priority for the energy sector. The survey highlighted that the world is not decarbonising fast enough and a major challenge for the energy industry is how to decarbonise faster. Ditlev feels that there should be an increased focus on electrification and in his view, it is an implementation challenge, not a technology challenge.
