Powering a sustainable energy future: from molecule to market

At Chart Industries, Inc., we often say: “We are molecule-agnostic – we engineer, design, and manufacture mission critical solutions for molecule production, storage, transportation, and end use.” That philosophy has shaped our strategy for decades, and it’s even more relevant today. As global energy demand continues to increase, what’s become clear is that no single technology, fuel, or policy will solve the complex challenges we face; it is going to be a hybrid of energy sources. The path to a sustainable energy future is not linear – it’s dynamic, regional, and highly dependent on flexibility and scalability. That’s why Chart is committed to enabling a diversified energy mix that meets the world’s growing demand without compromising reliability, economic growth, or energy access.

Chart plays a critical role in global energy – not just as an equipment manufacturer, but as a solutions provider, innovation partner, and trusted enabler of integrated energy systems.

A molecule-agnostic approach with global impact

Our portfolio spans LNG, power generation, energy, industrials, nuclear, industrial gas, hydrogen, metals, mining, helium, carbon capture, water treatment, and more – all supported by 170+ years of industry expertise. As a molecule-agnostic company, we don’t compete with our customers in

fuel production. Instead, we build the infrastructure that makes emerging fuels commercially viable – helping customers scale faster and more efficiently.

Hydrogen is one area where our leadership is on full display. From the world’s largest hydrogen refueling station in China to liquid hydrogen systems for aviation and space applications, we’re working across the value chain to accelerate deployment at scale. The same can be said for LNG, where we support large-scale infrastructure projects like ExxonMobil’s Mozambique Rovuma LNG project, while also enabling mid-scale and modular applications that extend LNG’s reach in underserved regions. We’re also seeing momentum in carbon capture. Our modular, small- and mid-scale CO2 cryogenic capture systems are helping customers reduce emissions across a range of industries – from fuel cell systems to cement and chemicals. These solutions are flexible, scalable, and deployable today. Our full lifecycle capabilities range from start-up of liquefaction to service, spares, and retrofits. For example, we recently retrofit Sabine Pass LNG for Cheniere with our Tuf-Lite IV fans for reliability and durability.

Innovation, scale, and integration

What truly differentiates Chart is the depth of our engineering, the scale of our manufacturing, the flexibility of our approach, and our OneChart™ global team members. We recently delivered the world’s largest shop-made cryogenic tanks – 1,700 cubic meters each – to a leading space exploration customer, demonstrating not only our technical capabilities but our ability to execute on highly complex, first-of-a-kind systems.

Looking ahead, our planned merger with Flowserve represents a transformational step forward, building on our current strategy. Together, we’ll offer an unmatched combination of thermal and flow technologies – helping customers streamline projects, reduce lead times, and optimise performance through a single-point solutions provider. It’s a powerful example of how bringing together complementary technologies, products, and systems can drive greater efficiency and scale.

Leading with purpose

We’re proud of the technologies we deliver, but just as focused on how we deliver them – with our #1 priority of safety at the forefront. Over the past year, several of our global sites have achieved multi-million-hour streaks without a lost time incident, which is a direct reflection of our team’s safety mindset and culture.

Sustainability and inclusion are equally embedded in how we operate – through ESG-linked goals, talent development programs, and programs and initiatives such as our employee resource groups (ERGs). We believe lasting impact comes from empowering people, protecting them, and leading with intention.

A future worth building

As we gather for Gastech this year, the momentum is high. We have the tools, talent, and technologies to drive real progress in the industry. We must remain focused on practical, scalable solutions that serve both today’s needs and tomorrow’s ambitions.

Across the industry, the future will be shaped by those willing to rethink what’s possible, work across boundaries, and lead with purpose. The opportunity is enormous, we’re just getting started, and we are proud to be a part of this incredible industry!
