Bruno Valverde Cota, CEO of OPTIMISTIC, discusses how intelligent turbomachinery combining mechanical precision with digital intelligence is driving a new era of efficiency, reliability, and sustainability across industries

Bruno, after an impressive presence at Gastech 2025 in Milan, what can we expect from OPTIMISTIC at ADIPEC 2025?

Gastech 2025 was a defining moment for OPTIMISTIC. We welcomed hundreds of industry professionals from all continents, showcased our latest generation of compressors and blowers, and formalised several strategic partnerships, one of the most important being our collaboration with Knox Industries. It confirmed that our approach combining European engineering with digital intelligence resonates strongly in today’s industrial landscape.

At ADIPEC 2025, we’re taking that momentum to the next level. Our focus will be on intelligent turbomachinery solutions that merge mechanical precision with digital transformation, enabling our customers to achieve higher energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Visitors can expect to experience real-time monitoring and predictive analytics.

How does OPTIMISTIC’s technology contribute to the global energy transition?

The transition to cleaner energy is not only about producing renewables; it’s also about optimising how industries consume and manage energy. Our equipment plays a key role in this transformation. Through AI-powered design, digital twins, and IoT-based monitoring, we enable clients to visualise and optimise every aspect of turbomachinery performance. from energy consumption and vibration analysis to predictive maintenance.

This reduces downtime, extends equipment lifespan, and dramatically lowers CO₂ emissions. In short, we help heavy industries move from reactive maintenance to intelligent efficiency making energy transition both achievable and economically sustainable.

Which industries are at the heart of your growth strategy?

Our roots are in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors, but we’ve evolved well beyond that. Today, OPTIMISTIC is deeply involved in Hydrogen production, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Mining, Cement and Pharmaceutical applications.

Each of these sectors faces increasing regulatory and operational pressure to decarbonise while maintaining productivity. Our mission is to provide the technology that makes that balance possible. from high-performance compressors for hydrogen and biogas, to ventilation systems for extreme industrial environments.

OPTIMISTIC is growing rapidly across international markets. What’s driving this expansion?

It’s a combination of technological innovation, customer trust, and strategic global positioning. In just a few years, OPTIMISTIC evolved from a European engineering company into a global industrial player.

After Milan, we immediately confirmed our participation in Gastech 2026 in Thailand, marking our first large-scale entry into the Asian market. The Middle East and Asia-Pacific are essential pillars of our growth plan, supported by partnerships that allow us to bring our solutions closer to end-users.

This expansion is not just geographic it’s conceptual. We’re exporting a new way of thinking about turbomachinery: one that integrates digitalisation, sustainability, and performance as inseparable elements of industrial success.

How central is digitalisation to OPTIMISTIC’s value proposition?

It’s absolutely central. Traditional engineering alone can no longer address the complexity of modern industrial operations. Through digitalisation, we’ve transformed turbomachinery from static equipment into living systems capable of learning, adapting and predicting.

Our future digital twin platforms replicate real-world operating conditions, allowing clients to test performance scenarios virtually, detect anomalies before they occur and fine-tune systems for maximum output. Combined with AI algorithms, this creates a self-optimising ecosystem that delivers continuous improvement the essence of Industry 4.0 applied to heavy engineering.

OPTIMISTIC speaks often about “Engineering Intelligence.” What does that mean for you?

“Engineering Intelligence” is the fusion of our mechanical expertise with advanced digital capabilities. It’s the philosophy behind everything we do, designing machines that not only perform but think.

It also reflects our cultural DNA: precision, innovation, and resilience. We are engineers with a purpose to make industry cleaner, smarter, and more efficient. That’s what drives every product we design, every partnership we establish, and every market we enter.

Finally, what is your message to those visiting ADIPEC 2025?

I would say: come and see the future of turbomachinery in action. OPTIMISTIC represents a new generation of European industrial companies technologically advanced, globally connected, and deeply committed to sustainability.

We invite all visitors to meet us at Hall 13, Stand 13213, to explore how digital is reshaping the way we design, operate, and maintain rotary equipment.

For us, ADIPEC 2025 is more than a trade show it’s a stage where the next era of intelligent engineering begins.
