dmg events and Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events (BCGEE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to co-host the inaugural Beijing Energy Congress (BEC), set to take place from 13–15 January 2027, at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing.
The agreement marks a significant milestone in dmg events’ global expansion, and reinforces its position as one of the most influential organisers in the world’s energy industry. With over three decades of experience in China’s convention and exhibition sector, BCGEE brings unmatched local expertise and reach, laying the foundation for a long-term collaboration that will connect China’s energy ambitions with international partnerships and innovation.
“We are honoured to partner with Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events to bring the Beijing Energy Congress to life. China plays an essential role in shaping the global energy future, and this collaboration reflects dmg events"
A landmark collaboration between global and Chinese industry leaders
The Beijing Energy Congress will unite more than 50,000 participants from across the energy value chain, from policymakers and investors, to technology pioneers and industrial leaders, to accelerate the development of secure, sustainable, and inclusive energy systems.
As the world’s largest energy producer, consumer, and clean-energy investor, China’s leadership in technology and industrial transformation continues to shape global markets. The Beijing Energy Congress will reflect this growing influence, serving as an international meeting point for collaboration between China’s national energy enterprises, and global partners driving investment, innovation, and industrial progress.
The three-day congress will feature a Strategic Summit, Leadership Roundtables, and a Technical Conference, alongside an international exhibition showcasing next-generation solutions across LNG, hydrogen, ammonia, renewables, CCUS, digitalisation, nuclear energy, and advanced power and storage systems.
Building on High-Level Alignment and Shared Priorities
The MoU follows a recent high-level meeting in Beijing, chaired by Dr Lu Ruquan, President of the CNPC Economics & Technology Research Institute (ETRI), where more than thirty senior leaders from Chinese state-owned enterprises and global partners shared their vision for the event.
Participants included representatives from CNOOC, SINOPEC, PipeChina, Towngas, ENN, PETRONAS, Woodside Energy, Huawei, the World Nuclear Association, and the China Beijing Green Exchange. Discussions reflected the shared belief that collaboration between China and international partners will be critical to advancing energy security, affordability, and decarbonisation.
