Sulzer and Manweir form strategic partnership to enhance equipment repairs in Qatar

Sulzer & Manweir Sign 10 Year Service Partnership In Qatar

Sulzer has announced a 10-year strategic service partnership with Manweir WLL to improve the availability and quality of rotating equipment repairs across Qatar, as revealed in a press statement.

Under the agreement, Sulzer's technical teams will operate from Manweir's Ras Laffan facility, providing local servicing for rotating equipment used in oil and gas, power generation, water desalination and industrial applications throughout Qatar.

The partnership eliminates the need to ship equipment abroad for repairs, significantly accelerating turnaround times and enhancing reliability for critical Qatari infrastructure. By establishing this in-country capability, both companies aim to strengthen Qatar's industrial supply chain while delivering improved service to local customers.

"We strive to be close to our customers and this partnership with Manweir allows us to deliver high-quality service and safety standards to our customers in Qatar," said Alex Myers, President Sulzer Services INMEC Region.

Neil Angus, General Manager of Manweir WLL, added: "This partnership will accelerate technological advancements, enhance service delivery, and provide customers with a one-stop solution for high-quality rotating equipment repairs and maintenance."

The collaboration directly contributes to Qatar's In-Country Value (ICV) targets and aligns with the ambitions of Qatar National Vision 2030, driving localisation, innovation and sustainable growth. By combining Manweir's strong local presence with Sulzer's global operational excellence and OEM expertise, the partnership aims to elevate service standards while fostering innovation across Qatar's evolving industrial landscape.
