Enel expects to list its grid services business in 2023, said Chief Executive Francesco Starace in an interview with Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica that was published on Thursday.

"Gridspertise, as the new company is called, will start in 2022 as a separate company to enhance and provide to all customers services around the world. It will have an industrial partner already this year and for 2023 we plan the listing," Starace told La Repubblica, as translated by Reuters.

Starace said that the utility company will seek an industrial partner for the new company, named Gridspertise.

Enel will also list its network of charging stations for electric cars.

Earlier this week, Enel placed a triple-tranche 2.75billion euro “Sustainability-Linked bond”, linked to the achievement of Enel's sustainability objective relating to the reduction of Direct Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Scope 1).

They said in a statement that the transaction is aligned with the updatedJanuary 2022 financial framework that fully integrates sustainability into the Group’s global funding program.
