French government looking at all options for EDF
The French government is looking at options including nationalisation with regards to the future of state-owned utility company EDF, the French finance minister said on Tuesday.
“We will be there (for EDF) and we will decide together which is the best option,” Bruno Le Maire said in an interview with BFM Business radio. He said the government was looking at all options and will announce their decision later.
"If all options are on the table, they are all on the table," said Le Maire.
EDF has been facing major financial challenges after they were ordered by the French government to sell power below market prices.
