Sizewell B nuclear power plant reconnected to the electricity grid
Utility EDF Energy said it has reconnected its Sizewell B nuclear power plant with the electricity grid, after it was offline due to a maintenance outage.
"Turbine 2 of the pressurised water reactor synchronised to the grid on Sunday, with Turbine 1 due to follow later today," the company wrote to Reuters.
Sizewell B was brought offline for planned maintenance and refueling on April 16th. It has a total capacity of 1.2 gigawatts (GW).
