US President Donald Trump said he’ll send representatives to Pakistan for talks to end the Iran war on Monday evening, while again threatening to strike civilian infrastructure if Tehran doesn’t agree to a deal.
Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz briefly surged early Saturday before collapsing as Iran warned shipping in the area that the corridor was closed to maritime traffic once again. A broadcast, heard by vessels in the area, coincided with multiple freighters performing U-turns.
A Greek shipowner whose vessels have repeatedly braved the Strait of Hormuz during the Iran war sent through its biggest oil supertanker since the start of the conflict.
