Saudi Aramco has awarded construction contracts worth $25 billion for the development of its Jafurah gas project, as it looks to boost production of the fuel considered a key part of plans to reduce plant-warming emissions.
Beryl, the second tropical storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, has been upgraded to a hurricane and is “forecast to intensify quickly,” the US National Hurricane Center said.
Saudi Aramco expanded its drive to tap into US energy supply with an initial agreement to buy a stake in Sempra’s Texas liquefied natural gas export plant in a deal that would include fuel shipments from the project.
