The energy industry to focus more on the circular economy

As part of our new COP28 Focus series, Julian walker spoke to Stefano Castoldi, Principal at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), about the growing importance of the circular economy in the energy industry and why circularity will get even more attention at COP28 towards the end of the year. The circular economy is becoming a key component of the strategy of every energy company around the world and in the GCC region as well. According to Stefano, in order to reduce greenhouse gas emission in compliance with the Paris Agreement, companies and society really need to change the way they think about circularity. COP28 has definitely put additional attention towards decarbonisation and circularity is an important lever to support the decarbonisation.
