Saudi Arabia and Oman call on cooperation between OPEC+
Saudi Arabia and Oman called on a continued cooperation between OPEC+ countries to both stabilise and balance the market, the Gulf countries said in a joint statement on Monday.
A dispute between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, both major OPEC producers in the Gulf, have led the alliance to delay talks.
The alliance said they will decide on a date for a new meeting. It is unclear if a compromise has been reached.
Saudi Arabia is the biggest oil producer in OPEC. Oman, is non-OPEC producer. But both are part of the OPEC+ alliance, and are Gulf Arab speaking country. Oman has previously mediated between different Gulf countries in disputes.
